SME more facilities in the sector of mobile telephony!
Admittedly, the choice of small and medium entreprises is oriented primarily toward robust and autonomous handsets. Thus, smartphones are not required.
Moreover, the media buzz is stilla tendency to explorate the phenomena. Given that smartphones are the headlines and which sales are growing, they represent a minority share of mobile sales. We note that in firms, executives are particularty attracted by the iPhone or other touch phones.
However, in SME and home offices, most employees have a simple and robust model and they use them primarily in an extreme environment: workshops, construction sites…
Nokia at the forefront
Gilles Brunschwig, managing deirector of Future Telecom operator said, following a study that “SOHO and SME have a very pragmatic approach to mobile telephony. Indeed, “these companies are primarly sensitive to self terminals, to networks and sensitivity to ergonomics and then in a second step, the Data connections and receiving emails in a push” he said.
Futur Telecom has ranked the best selling terminals to the target and the results confirm this trend. As head of sales, the leader is the Nokia 1209. This is an entry model range which is mainly used in fleets, says Future Telecom. Then, that’s the Nokia 2330 which is also very basic but with a camera. Finally, the Nokia 2720 is equipped with a valve.
First smartphones are ranked from the 5th to 8th such as the Nokia 6210 with GPS function, the Acer BeTouch Windows Mobile that would benefit from a low price, the Samsung Omnia Pro, various Blackberry models and finally the iPhone 8GB version.
This classification is certainly not very representative and concerns just an operator. However, this illustrates the rel needs of small firms in the area of mobile telephony. In other words, that are needs which are still far from the market’s offer; the trend today is to put froward smartphones and other mobile applications.
