FNAC Signs-Up with Maeglin Software and Distributes Pleex Solutions in its Stores
Paris, November 10, 2010 – Maeglin Software, a company specialized in the development and sale of innovative mobile phone services, announced today that Fnac started to resell in its 80 French stores three of Maeglin Software’s Pleex mobile security solutions under the Pack Fnac brand.
Fnac is a leading European retailer of cultural, leisure, and high-tech products with more than 140 megastores in France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, Taiwan, and Brazil. Fnac, the leading retailer on most of its markets, has developed a unique store format, based on actual and virtual multi-specialist stores, places where you can find not only the products to buy, but also advice, discovery, other afficionados and culture. Pack Fnac Sécurité Téléphonie Mobile
Maeglin Software developed with Fnac a tailored package including PleexMigrator, PleexBackup and PleexShield in order to meet their customers’ needs. This package is sold in all of the 80 French Fnac stores for 19 Euros for a one year subscription. It is being marketed under the Pack Fnac brand as the Pack Fnac Sécurité Téléphonie Mobile and joins other best-sellers such as the Pack Fnac Protection Intégrale PC. As such, the packaging, the Web site, the mobile Internet site as well as the applications are Fnac-branded. It is sold as a sealed envelope containing a license number. The license is activated when the customer signs-up on the www.packfnacmobile.com Web site. The service is sold either in self-service or assisted by a sales person. Customers pay for the service at the cash register. This implementation shows once again the flexibility Maeglin Software brings in implementing its solutions.

The Pack Fnac Sécurité Téléphonie Mobile includes the following solutions.
PleexMigrator: This service makes contacts transfer between mobiles simple; customers are guided step-by-step in the process: changing phones has never been so easy! PleexMigrator is compatible with over 2,000 handsets in the market.
PleexBackup: This Pleex solution lets mobile users back up and manage all their contacts (SIM & mobile phone) as well as their multimedia content (ringtone, wallpapers, photos, mp3, movies, files…). Contacts and files can be restored to any device. It is compatible with over 2,000 handsets in the market.
PleexShield: In the event of a theft or a loss, PleexShield lets end-users remotely lock their phone and wipe-out their content; it will also soon let customers geo-locate their handset.
